On the way to our store with Fido, I found such a beautiful color! In Japan we call this passion flower Tokeiso literary meaning "Clock flower". It was so fun to see the details of patterns and colors. Nice morning just starts!

Sonoko, who organized Soba workshop last fall invited us for lunch of her handmade and demonstrated Soba. Because of her training at Soba Academy in Tokyo, it was obvious that her skill was improved!! Sonoko and her master, Akila are planning to have another Soba workshop in June. Finally we are back! It is always nice to be back to normal and meet our frequent customers and neighbors and through the experience to be away from home, I can realize something that I forget around me. The image above shows a path that I use everyday between our home and store. Since we were away such a long time, this scenary jumped into my eyes as "So California!", even though I usually don't think that much anymore.....
Yes, Venice has become definitely our second home town now!!
