This bent plywood (mahogany) stool was designed in 1961 and received the first award at the design competition of Tendo Mokko Co. Ltd. which has produced numerous wooden furniture since 1940 in Yamagata, Japan. It was only in the year 2003 when this design came out to the market as an product.
This product is originally made for a stool, but can also be used as a table leg by placing a glass piece on top.
